CNY This Year…

CNY this year is different… we were very excited as Joash is with us.. the bad news is, Kel and I spent the whole of CNY holidays in KK hospital..

Joash was down with Fever and as he is less than 3months old, the doctors advised that it is safer to admit and run some tests.. which we did..

Admitted at 1230am on Sunday.. and immediately drew blood, urine and spinal fluid samples for tests… as well as the much dreaded intravenous for the feeding of antibiotics..

of cos Jo wailed and wailed.. standing outside the treatment room was the most heart wrenching part.. the only way to make myself feel better was to walk away n not hear his cries..

that was the most difficult part.. thereafter, things got better. Jo’s fever subsided the next day and he looked visibly more alert..

Then inevitably the part where the intravenous was inserted became swollen and the nurses had to change spot.. so poor Jo was poked on both hands and right foot

Many thanks to great frenz who constantly asked about Jo’s status and unceasing encouragement.. it really helped. And my dearest Pastors Zhuang and Audrey also came down to visit.

And so finally, Jo is able to go home after all the tests came out negative and docs told us that it was a common UTI. BUT he has to complete 53 days worth of antibiotics.. SIGH..

So CNY went by just like that for the GUOs.. in the hospital… without dong dong dong chiang music, but with plenty of Mcdonalds (the only thing sold in KKH). Thank God that JO’s much better now!
